Method of ownership
The property is National Land. It is not Ejido land.
In this area, ownership is administered by the Rural Association in which
we are accepted. We meet with the Rural Association on a regular basis.
The Yum Kaax land has been purchased on a contract with a member of the Rural Association.
The property and taxes are paid in full.
Individual Yum Kaax lot ownership is currently secured by a contract (promesa de compraventa) between the buyer and project owner
until the title process is complete.
The next step in our title process is to complete an MIA (Manifest of Environmental Impact) environmental impact study.
The MIA is the principal document required for approval of a development and production permit.
The review process of the MIA requires a minimum of approximately 4 months.
Yum Kaax lots shown in white in the diagram below can be purchased
for $5.00 USD cash per square meter.
Minimum purchase is one hectare, 10,000 square meters.
