Live from the jungles of Mexico, the adventures of Bill

Update: June 21, 2006

Greetings, and happy Solstice! Its the longest day of the year, so there should be enough time for an update on Bill's adventures in Mexico.

We are having another big Solstice party in the village. It isn't too late for you to join us. Here are the details.

My daughters are arriving next week for a visit. This has provided the very much needed motivation to tidy up my house and make it habitable for non-jungle dwellers. Next week I will be the tropical vacation tour guide.

My property in the village countinues to improve. There are two stream beds leading from natural pools down the hillside into the cenote pool at the bottom. In the cenote we have excavated an entrance to a small cavern where we plan to explore to see if there are any interesting connections to the underground aquifer. At the top of the hill I have tested the ground for stability by drilling test holes in the limestone rock. The results are very good, and I now have a new well with water at eight meters. My builders are ready to start the house as soon as I can sell a few of my properties and raise the house budget a bit higher.

My Mexican corporation is active now. This means I can finally be a good citizen and pay taxes as soon as I run some revenue through it. That will happen next week when my wireless internet access point will finally be installed for my ISP business. I also have a prospect who is considering an alternative energy solution for a beach resort with eighty units and two small restaurants. So PlayaSystems.com is showing some signs of life after all!

Take care, and write soon. Or better yet, come down and have a margarita on the beach!
