Live from the jungles of Mexico, the adventures of Bill

Update: January 4, 2005

The cold nights are now a thing of the past. We're down to one blanket again, with only a sheet or less just around the corner. Daytimes have been mostly sunny, with the occasional cool break like we are having today.

The last two weeks have been a lot more social than usual. My dear friend Laura just finished a wonderful two week visit, giving me an excuse to be a tour guide at some great beaches and Mayan ruins. And of course every night was gourmet night at my casita, or occasionally at the restaurants in town. She was even kind enough to bring along some great Portland microbrews. Let me tell you, the tequila here is much better than the cerveza. My friend Lynn arrived a week ago to live in my previous house in the village. We have been getting her and her three cats settled in so she can start enjoying the adventures and developing her new lot.

On the playasystems.com business front, there have been no new developments this month. Things still happen sloooowly here. I have several interested solar energy customers, but no official business account or transactions yet.

Property News (and gentle sales pitch):

I was just told about an unusually good land offer where I live at Pueblo SacBe. Until February 26, all lots are priced at $20 cash per square meter, so a typical 1000 meter (quarter acre) lot would be $20,000 instead of the usual $50,000. You can take a look at them here: http://www.pueblosacbe.com/webmap.html The developers are raising money to meet an important deadline, so pass the word to anyone you think would be interested in a tropical getaway, and can make a deal in the next three weeks.

On the other hand, also for $20,000, you could be my neighbor on a 2.5 acre piece of tall old growth tropical forest project here: http://leftblank.com/yumkaax/ You can take a little longer to think about this one.

In any case, at least come down for a visit and a few margaritas while you take a look at my Mayan Riviera neighborhood, ok?
